History

Scurrypoint was born and incubated in Northern NSW, Australia at the start of 2003. It was originally started by Seton and Ewan – two Media Communication graduates from Southern Cross University, Lismore.

Originally starting as an office in an ex-brothel affectionately known as ‘The Slum’ Scurrypoint soon moved to a commercial premises in Lismore and continued to gain momentum.

After creating an impact in the digital art and music scene in North NSW Scurrypoint headquarters was relocated to Cairns, North Queensland at the start of 2005. Ewan went on to start a splinter operation called Area Red.

Scurrypoint’s flexibility and ability to deal with global technologies from a changing physical location was realised. With a couple of years of successful real world operation under its belt Scurrypoint relocated to Kuranda in 2009 and successfully operated from a comercial premises for 12 months. In 2010 Scurrypoint relocated to Byron Bay and is currently expanding its horizons.
